Graduating senior of Spring 2017 at Montclair State University with a degree in English and a minor in Professional and Public Writing.

For the past 2 years I’ve been an active member as well as the Art and Website Editor for Montclair State University′s student-run literacy magazine, The Normal Review. We’re focused on publishing student and alumni art, prose, and poetry, which we accomplish through reviewing submissions over the course of a given semester. By means of a local printing company we produce two issues per year and distribute the copies throughout departments on campus.

For the past 6 years I’ve spent summers as a hired counselor, adviser, and trail guide at Deerfoot Lodge, an all-boys wilderness Christian-affiliated camp just outside the Adirondacks of upstate New York. The summer of 2015 I served as a Maintenance Assistant for the camp (pictured below) as well as a Voyager Leader. In that role I was responsible for leading an east-coast trip, with another counselor, to Maine where our 7-man group canoed 92 miles north on the Allagash River and hiked Mt. Katahdin, the tallest peak in Maine.

I also work with adolescents in the Winter and Spring seasons through being hired as a pole vault instructor and assistant coach by Eastern Christian high school located in North Haledon. I’m in charge of training regiments, keeping track of equipment inventory, traveling to various meets, and engaging with other coaches and parents throughout the season.

The rest of my time is spent in the local New Jersey music scene and neighboring east coast communities where I’m constantly influenced and driven by generations of art and creativity. A few of the musical endeavors I’m involved with include: Secret Mountain, The Service Club, and a few other nameless personal projects. Links to any of these can be found near the bottom of my website.
